History
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was established in 1949 and its history traces back over. more than 130 years to the roots of its predecessor organization’s foundation in 1874.
Education
In our graduate school courses, we help students develop high-level cognitive and creative skills through scientific research, and promote training that support them to become leaders with broad perspectives in the knowledge society of the future.
Research
TUAT education and research aim to further pursue the truth based on free ideas and produces learned researchers, engineers and highly specialized professionals who uncompromisingly reflect on the influence science and technology have on the Earth, society and mankind. It is to this purpose that the university herein sets forth the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Charter as its principles and goals.

Housing services
There are two International Houses at TUAT, one on Fuchu and the other on Koganei Campus. There are also rooms available in the International Student House of Hitotsubashi University at Kodaira Campus.
Library services
TUAT's libraries—the Fuchu Library on the Fuchu Campus and the Koganei Library on the Koganei Campus—are equipped with an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) system that can be used to search the library's collection of approximately 300,000 books and 13,000 periodicals, as well as the library website that allows access to approximately 7,000 electronic journals and major databases.
Medical services
The October health checkup is for new and current students enrolled in October. Students enrolled in April must undergo a health checkup in April 2023.
