The Arts University Bournemouth, established in 1885 as a specialist institution, is now a leading University offering high quality specialist education in art, design, media and performance across the creative industries.
Education
Our undergraduate degrees offer you the opportunity to study an arts subject you love in a creative community, on a specialist campus. Our MA courses are between one and two years in length, depending on the subject and mode of study.

Student services
We offer extra help to anyone who needs it. If you’re disabled or dyslexic, or could just do with some confidential advice, we provide a range of specialist services to make managing your studies easier. If English is not your first language we can offer support with academic skills and language development. Whatever your needs, speak to us and we’ll try to help.
Housing services
We have accommodation available for first-year students in our great range of halls of residence located in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth town centre.
Just as you’re not all studying the same course, we know our students like different styles of places to live. We have a range of halls of residence, each offering something unique – with everything from modern self-contained studio flats to more traditional en-suite rooms in cluster flats, there is something for everyone.
Medical services
Medical care at AUB we want to support you as much as possible during your time as a student.We strongly encourage you to register with a local doctor as soon as you start your studies at AUB to make sure that you can see a doctor quickly if you fall ill or need routine medical care during the course of your studies.

Our campus is a living, breathing, academic environment for creativity. It’s where you’ll make amazing things happen. With a backdrop of head-turning architecture, you’ll be in a community of like-minded makers and thinkers.
Student clubs
Led by the President, Vice President and the Executive Officer Team, the Students’ Union exists to make sure that all students have the best possible experience whilst studying with us. All of our students automatically become members of the Union when they enrol on their course.
