School of Politics and International Relations

As one of the founding departments of the University of Kent in 1965, the School of Politics and International Relations has developed into an institution that is at the forefront of contemporary political and international studies.

We offer a wide range of undergraduate programmes. A particular strength of our portfolio are the four year degrees, these include a year spent abroad on an internship or at a partner university.

We have a wide range of partnerships with top institutions abroad and are proud of our global outlook. We are the only politics school in the country with a postgraduate centre in Brussels. This gives you the opportunity on certain programmes to spend time studying in Brussels. We also offer a Double Award version of the MA in International Relations which includes a year studying in Russia and a joint MA programmme in Peace and Conflict which includes a year studying in Germany.
