Alba Graduate Business School

Our mission is to educate visionary leaders of tomorrow who will act as agents of change and help shape the future business world by pushing forward the frontiers of knowledge related to the management of business organizations, while making that knowledge relevant to practitioners. Generating an disseminating knowledge represent our twin objectives.

History

ALBA was founded in 1992, through a joint initiative of the Federation of Greek Industries ( ΣΕΒ ), the leading Employers' Union in Greece, and the Hellenic Management Association ( ΕΕΔΕ ); both the preparation for the creation of ALBA and its operations until the end of 1993 were funded by the European Commission and by contributions offered by its Corporate Members.

Alba Graduate Business School (Alba), has always been dedicated in offering educational programs of the highest academic standards in the area of Business Administration, as well as a strong framework of personal development and social responsibility. 

The continuous improvement of our academic and administrative processes, our people and faculty, our corporate culture as well as our passion for quality in education, create a stimulating environment for those that invest in ALBA Graduate Business School for their personal and professional development.

Research

Faculty members are engaged in ongoing research at the cutting edge from which new ideas, knowledge and applications are generated and incorporated into teaching. The pursuit of world-class research constitutes a fundamental element of ALBA's institutional blueprint and one of the most important dimensions of resident faculty's academic activities. The current resident faculty team has produced several journal articles, books, book chapters, and academic conference presentations.

Student services

The International Relations office is the main contact of the full-time international and exchange students, from the very first time they communicate with the school, providing useful information and active assistance on any issue. From the application process, to the graduation ceremony, for the whole duration of their study, international students are fully supported by the International Office team. In the same way, ALBA International Office assists all ALBA students to engage in exchange programs outside Greece.

Housing services

ALBA maintains 12 fully furnished apartments (with en-suite kitchen, bathroom and cleaning facilities)  that meet the accommodation needs of ALBA’s International students.

Apartments  are available at walking distance from the School's campus. All apartments are located in the area of Ilisia in Athens city center. Accommodation is not included in the tuition fees, and is therefore covered either by the students themselves, or by scholarships.

Library services

All members of the ACG community, including current students, faculty, staff and registered alumni, are entitled to use the ALBA library and to take advantage of its resources, services & facilities.

ICT services

Local Area Network (LAN) consists of more than 200 PCs running under Windows 10 operating system and configured with the latest versions of software. Almost half of them are located in study rooms and laboratories where networked, hish speed, laser, mono and cloour printers are also available.

Students are given their own login name and password in order to logon to the network. The network provides the user with access to the internet and a personal e-mail account. Visitors have access to internet thought free wifi.

Campus life

ALBA Campus is conveniently located downtown, in the center of Athens. The campus features a range of medium size auditoriums & classrooms and smaller meeting rooms to facilitate the learning experience. Within a modern yet friendly academic environment our students, faculty and visitors experience prompt, tailor made and environmentally conscious services.

Student clubs

The ALBA Networker allows you to reconnect with former classmates and utilize the trusted ALBA Graduate Business School environment to expand your professional network.

By fully integrating with social networks and cultivating a culture of helping and giving back, this networking platform connects you with our vibrant alumni community and explores synergies with each other and the School at large. 

  • Alba is accredited by The New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) The commission is authorized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • All ALBA MBA programs are accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), while both the MSc in Finance and MSc in Strategic HRM programs are EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accredited.
  • Moreover, ALBA’s MSc in Finance program has been awarded a CFA Program Partner status by CFA Institute, being the first MSc in Finance Program in South East Europe to obtain such a status.
