About

History

In 1966 a pioneer educational program was created in Europe, formed by a Hotel-School with restaurant where university hospitality students could conduct their internship, since the first day, with real customers, under the supervision and direct assessment of a professional teaching staff.

Education

Continuous training is essential in the hotel and tourism industry, which is subject to constant improvement and development. Therefore, at H-E StPOL, for all those who have finished their training programs and/or have professional experience, it expresses its offer of on-going training on different levels:

  • Master in Hospitality Management
  • Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management

H-E StPOL creates personalized strategic training programs for managers in leadership, advanced management of human resources, incorporation of new technologies, internationalization strategies, corporate responsibility, environmental management, latest tendencies in communication and marketing, advice and image and other areas.

Career

Every year, H-E StPOL celebrates the Professional Development Days, event where the representatives of corporate recruiting of the most important hotel and restaurant companies come to the school to interview the students that complete their studies with the purpose of achieving their final internships and join the companies.

The mission of the Professional Development Days is to make the students approach the national and international hospitality, touristic and restaurant leader groups. This relationship university–company offers the students the opportunity to participate in the presentations of the companies, get interviewed and establish labor links..

Housing services

The residence of the school is located in the Hotel Gran Sol, that offers during the course a third part of the rooms as s Students Residence.

There are three forms of accommodation to choose from:

  • Accommodation and food a, including the accommodation since the first day of the course until the last one, besides the daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
  • Food expenses without accommodation. Including the daily meals during all the academic course (from September to June from Monday to Sunday).
  • Occasional Residence. Non-resident students who wish to stay in a residence for a few days may book a place depending on availability.

Campus life

The facilities of the Hotel-School Sant Pol de Mar are located in a quiet environment surrounded by nature where, with a beach landscape, you can enjoy the sea as well as the mountains.

Only thirty minutes away from Barcelona, it allows a quick connection with one of the most attractive cities of Europe. You can go to Barcelona from Sant Pol de Mar by train and you have a direct bus line that goes to the Airport of Barcelona-El Prat.

The towns that surround Sant Pol de Mar are Canet de Mar, which is a coastal town, and Calella, a town rich in commerce and services, and that is very touristic in the summer season.

The town of Sant Pol de Mar is full of students from the school from September to June.

  • Royal Decree 1406/1999 of September 3 of the Spanish Government 
  • ANECA, as per the dispositions of Article 75 of the R.D. 1393/2007, of October 29, amended by the R.D. 861/2010 of July 2 has evaluated favorably the Study Plan that grants the Official Title of: Bachelor Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with two concentrations: International Hotel Management and Culinary Arts, F&B and Event Management.
