About

This programme targets students with relevant studies or professional experience to logistics and/or supply chain management topics.

Upon completion of the "Supply Chain Management" programme from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, participants will be able to:
  • understand the basic concepts and principles with emphasis on planning, design and execution of supply chain management (SCM) operations;
  • select and apply the appropriate tools and techniques for the optimization of supply chain design and operation
  • select and use new technologies, information systems and innovative practices in logistics and SCM operations
The programme is offered in two versions:

1) with personal educational support and total cost 800 €. In that case, elearners receive full academic support from their personal tutor, share any concerns or anxieties related to the programme and receive relevant academic material.

2) with community educational support and total cost 400 €. In that case, elearners can pose their questions/ queries in the customized blog for the course. All queries will receive feedback from our academic team.

Programme Structure

Lesson 1: Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Upon completion of the lesson, students will be able to:
  • understand the basic concepts and principles of logistics and supply chain management
  • analyze the structure, roles and key stakeholders in the supply chain system
  • understand the role of logistics and supply chain management in business and economy, and logistics/SCM performance issues at national and international environment
Lesson 2: Supply Chain Operation
Upon completion of the lesson, students will be able to:
  • understand the objectives and scope of primary and support functions of SCM, as well as their Iinterrelationships with other business functions
  • recognize the implications of product characteristics (eg. cold chain, high-risk goods, density, value-weight ratio, substitutability, total logistics costs)
  • recognize the main types of supply chain operation(e.g. pull/make-to-order, push/make-to-stock)
Lesson 3: Demand/Order Management & Customer Service
Upon completion of the lesson, students will be able to:
  • understand the basic concepts, elements and sub-processes of the order cycle, as well as factors affecting order processing
  • analyze the level of customer service into its individual elements (e.g., pre-transaction, transaction, post-transaction)
  • define specific Key Performance Indicators indicators (KPIs) for evaluating / measuring customer service
  • apply methods to determine the strategy for optimal level of service provided by SCM
