Köln city life
Cologne is the main cultural spot in Rhineland and home to more than thirty museums and galleries. You can admire from ancient Roman archaeological sites to contemporary graphics and sculpture, and you can also enjoy quite a vibrant night life.
Main touristic attractions in Cologne are:

You can have fun at one of the numerous festivals the city hosts, the most popular is the Cologne carnival, one of the largest street festivals in Europe.
International students that are into sports can enjoy some of the local football, ice hockey, Formula 1 championships and can also practice golf.
You can try countless bars, clubs and pubs are available for the teenager and young population to entertain.
Cologne has a great location, as you can always see other German cities like: Dusseldorf, Essen, Bonn (all three less than half an hour away by train), Dortmund (about an hour away) and Aachen (a little less than an hour away).
International atmosphere in Köln
Besides the large number of international students, Cologne hosts several ethnic communities, mainly Turkish, Italians, and the city is also home to the oldest and largest Jewish communities in Germany. A smaller number of minorities include Greek, Polish, Russian and Spanish people.
As a major spot for economy in central Europe, a significant international crowd is always present in the city. Cologne is headquarter for numerous federal agencies and organisations from Germany and also several international conferences in various fields are organised here.
Weather Köln
Cologne is one of the warmest cities in Germany, having relatively mild winters and warm summers. Cologne is also one of the cloudiest cities in Germany and a large number of precipitations occur throughout the whole year. In January, the lowest temperature is 3°C (37 °F), while the mean temperature in July is 19°C (66 °F).
