About

An ideal course for those wishing to start a career in the highly creative media industry.

Overview

You'll complete practical production modules using Coleg Gwent's TV studio as well as gaining an understanding of the history and culture of the industry. Working across various platforms including radio, television and new media, you'll develop a broad range of industry-relevant transferable skills. The emphasis on communication, social, technical and networking skills will stand you in good stead for future employment, or There's an option to progress to BA (Hons) Media Production where you'll expand your creative portfolio.

Typical entry requirements:

HNC, HND and Foundation Degrees – You would usually need a relevant BTEC level 3 profile of Merit/Pass or Pass/Pass/Pass; or DD at A level; or DE grades at A level plus C in Welsh Baccalaureate; or Access to HE where you have achieved a Pass Diploma with 45 level 3 credits (all Passes).Additionally, GCSE passes at grade C or above in three subjects to include Mathematics and English Language (or equivalent).
