About

Learning support can be a challenging but rewarding job. If you are already working in the sector, this course will enable you to develop a greater understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support children and adults with learning difficulties and other educational challenges, in learning environments.

Overview

The course covers all aspects of learning support in theory and practice. The qualification introduces a range of topical areas, including supporting children with mental health issues, understanding specific learning difficulties and working with children to improve language and numeracy skills. You'll have a formal qualification to help secure employment as a classroom or learning support assistant. Alternatively you may consider further study to move into teaching.

Programme Structure

What you will study
