Overview
- During the Standard General English Course at Centre of English Studies you will work on improving the skills involved with speaking, listening, reading and writing, so that you can improve your comprehension and communicate more freely.
Learning outcomes
- You will also work on your linguistic knowledge, increasing your vocabulary and deepening your understanding of the grammar and structure of the language. Courses at CES are communicative and task-based, using a core text book, the most up to date technology and authentic materials.
- You will receive expert Standard General English Course at Centre of English Studies tuition and ongoing feedback from your teachers in order for you to make rapid and lasting progress. With access to the CES Online Learning Platform, you will be able to plan your studies to make the most of your stay.
Programme Structure
- Levels available: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1).
- Proficiency (C2) and Beginner (A1-) available at certain times. Please contact us for further information.
- A Standard English course is 20 lessons (15 hours) per week in the UK and 20 hours in Ireland.
- 1 lesson in the UK = 45 minutes
- 1 lesson in Ireland = 55 minutes
