Overview
Instruction will be led by Imperial Professor of Practice David Shrier, a seasoned entrepreneur who has raised over $600 million of funding and taken a company public on the New York Stock Exchange. In this dynamic venture studio, you will learn powerful techniques to identify opportunity and scale a business.
Your experience will include how to field-test ideas with real customers, pursue rapid prototyping (where applicable), and proven techniques to shape a compelling narrative that is appealing to customers, employees, and investors, and build a scale business. The main goal is to develop business ideas with a strong front-end.
By the end of the Entrepreneurship Summer School course from Imperial College Business School - Summer School at Imperial College London, you will:
Generate new ideas and apply frameworks to develop and test business ideas, understanding key principles such as design-constrained innovation;
Build an early-stage business idea through research and validation;
Apply knowledge of key entrepreneurship and innovation concepts to future projects, on our degree programme or within career roles;
Research solutions to problems and deliver concise presentations, using established narrative techniques and models such as Campbell and Ganz;
Work in a team and manage a project

- The multi-mode delivery method enables students to learn safely via a mixture of on-campus and remote online teaching. This new way of teaching takes into account the government COVID-19 regulations around social distancing and reduced capacity in lecture theatres, and most importantly, prioritises the safety of our students, faculty and staff.
- The course is delivered through a mix of lectures, classes, facilitated group discussions, and personalised mentorship from experts and entrepreneurs who know how to build scale enterprises. Students will have the opportunity to employ a novel AI-driven coaching platform that provides personalised quantitative feedback on team interactions and collaboration.
