Overview
Mornings: The Cambridge Preparation - Full Time students from Torquay International School follow our in-house schemes of work, covering speaking, listening, reading and writing plus pronunciation and vocabulary work. Teachers use their professional expertise to select activities that will most engage and support their students.
Learning outcomes
- Afternoons: Students practise for all papers of the Cambridge Examinations. They will revise key grammar points, develop their standard of writing, recycle vocabulary and hone their examination technique.
- These are 10 week courses starting in January, April and September, which end with the students taking the Cambridge Exam in Torquay. Students can join our 10 week course on any week from week 1 to week 7. However, the final 3 weeks leading up to the exam are always closed.

- Listening and topic discussion (natural medicine)
- Grammar - past / continuous - presentation and practice
- Current news stories from the UK
- Narrative tenses and story telling
- Telling and creating real life stories
- Vocabulary and reading topic (crime)
