Overview
Structural engineering that comes under civil engineering deals with physical laws and empirical knowledge of the structural performance of materials. Different materials have different properties.
One such property is elasticity which makes the material return to its original shape when the force causing the deformation is removed. The majority of failure in materials occurs due to fatigue, because of repeated loading and unloading.
The building material is used for construction purpose. Some of the naturally occurring materials are clay, sand, wood, stone, rocks etc. Apart from these naturally occurring substances, man-made materials are also in use.
Outcomes
After completion of this Structural and Civil Engineering Concepts programme at IDC Technologies, students will get a complete knowledge about structural engineering, qualities of soil, building materials, structures, classification of construction, project management and principles of organisation.
