Overview
Learn to recruit and train new staff, plan work, motivate staff, solve problems systematically, implement disciplinary procedures, maintain a safe workplace, use worker participation as a supervisory tool, and more.
Upon enrolment, you will receive all of the materials that are essential to complete the course. Course materials vary depending upon the subject and the study mode, but they may include subject guides, printed notes, textbooks, videos and practical equipment. In certain circumstances you may be required to do extra research – in which case your tutor is able to advise you where necessary.
On successful completion of the Supervision course from Warnborough College you should be able to do the following:
- Explain and create an organisational chart.
- Describe the five basic kinds of Unions.
- Report on what you expect to achieve by practicing good human relations.
- Define objectives, goals, tasks to be achieved.
- Describe what steps should be taken before re organising a section or department?
- Draw up a work area for an office, factory etc.
- Show step by step how you would work through the problem solving technique systematically, in order to determine a good way of dealing with this problem.
- Write a diplomatic letter to a union in response to a complaint.
- Draw up a suitable advertisement for a position of a “Salesperson”
- Explain the methods most frequently used to train new employees.
