Overview
In addition to learning Java, you will gain experience with two Java development environments (BlueJ and Eclipse), learn how to programme with graphical user interfaces, and learn how to design programmes capable of managing large amounts of data. These software engineering skills are broadly applicable across wide array of industries.
Applied Learning Project
- In this Object Oriented Programming in Java Specialization offered by Coursera in partnership with Duke University, you will demonstrate your new proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming design through the development of four Java applications: an analysis of CSV data files, an encryption programme, an interactive map for displaying geospatial data, and a programme that will allow users to manage, manipulate, and reason about large sets of textual data.
