About the course
- In this practical, online course, you will be directed remotely by the course tutor and provided with the technical know-how to record your individual shots. The Level 1 - Acting - For Camera (online) programme is offered by The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
- Explore fundamental acting exercises from a variety of acting practitioners with a focus on developing your imagination and creating believable screen performances
Programme Structure
Course content:
- Develop an understanding of the technical aspects of shooting a scene and how this affects your performance as the character
- Understand how to adjust your performance depending on the nature of the camera shot and action of the scene
- Record your individual shots, which you will submit to the tutor, who will then edit them together with your scene partner’s to create the edited scene
- Learn about castings and auditions using self-tapes
- Please note, you do not produce a show reel as part of this course but you will get to see the footage that is produced throughout the course as part of the learning process

- Anyone who is new to screen acting
- Those who are already working in the industry but haven’t trained before
