Overview
Our Project Management for Professionals course at RMIT University will provide you with effective skills to motivate, communicate, and deliver business outcomes in any complex situation. Through this course, you’ll adopt a toolbox of skills that can be mixed and matched to suit a variety of contexts.
With a focus on adaptive and human skills, you’ll learn how to successfully initiate and mobilise a project team. Importantly, you’ll gain capabilities in negotiation and stakeholder communication to deliver optimal outcomes, as well as how to apply the fundamentals of scope, risk, budget, quality and time management to your own projects.
What you'll learn
- Critically analyse the professional capabilities required to manage projects in complex and changing settings including motivation, communication and influencing, stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
- Apply fundamental project management techniques to a project, such as identifying key stakeholders, initiation, scope, budget, timeline, and quality and risk management.
- Present a report on the stages and business outcomes of a project to key stakeholders that justifies outputs and outcomes.
