Overview
Are you curious about the world of acting? You want to explore yourself as an actor and connect with others passionate about acting too? You’d like to learn more but can’t quite commit to full time training just yet? If you have talent, passion and drive then Central’s Acting diploma may be exactly the springboard you’ve been looking for.
You will work in Central’s rehearsal rooms two evenings a week and in the final summer term, you will rehearse and perform in one of Central’s fully equipped theatres. Please note that this is not an agents’ showcase. In line with the ethos of our full-time courses, full attendance is expected of all modules as well as the Intensive Weeks.
Outcomes
On completion of this Acting Diploma course at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama you should expect to have:
- Investigated your personal approach to acting and developed who you are as an artist;
- Worked with a diverse ensemble of student actors and developed creatively together;
- Worked in rehearsal rooms to develop a practical skillset of the tools necessary to embark on an actor training;
- Developed a professional work ethic which enables you to work to the highest standard possible in rehearsal/workshop environment;
- Approached performance holistically, incorporating voice, movement and text.
