About the course
Are you a performer who wants to gain skills in movement? Or are you someone who is looking to explore moving their body to become more confident, expressive and aware in every day life? Perhaps you are a drama teacher, facilitator or director who wants to enhance their movement work. This Movement - An Introduction short course is offered at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama
Programme Structure
Course content:- Develop your body awareness and developing theatre through movement.
- Increase your communication with others through movement
- Enhance your fundamental skills in movement. This will include alignment, strength, flexibility and flow in the body.
- Learn to create images and stories through movement in fun and meaningful exercises.
- Learn to move as an individual, in relationship as a group and in duo.
- Work safely in movement in terms of technique and boundaries.
- Find ways to improvise through movement.
- Find ways to set movement.
- Improve confidence in physical performance.
- Movement will draw from improvised dance, yoga, contact improvisation, Capoeira influences, Laban and dance theatre.
