Overview
About the course
We all have within us an innate sense of beauty and harmony and a longing for wholeness and fulfilment. Your tutor, Ruth Eisenhart believes that through our intuition and natural sense of play we are able to make contact with our creative energy, thereby learning to 'see' as opposed to merely looking. This Creative Drawing course is offered at the University of the Arts London (UAL).
Programme Structure
Topics covered:
- The course entails drawing from the model using a wide variety of traditional instruments such as bamboo and quill pens, charcoal, conte, Chinese ink and brushes.
- Students are guided through a series of techniques and exercises (sometimes using movement and music), which were developed by the eminent artist and teacher Cecil Collins, who taught at the Central School of Arts and Crafts for more than 30 years.
