Overview
About the course
Each week a different group of stitches will be covered. You will begin with a range of fundamental stitches before learning more complex techniques such as bobbles, shaping, cables, grafting and many more.
Needles and basic yarns will be provided, and you will also source your own experimental yarns, exploring colour, texture, gauge, composition and pattern as you learn about creating your own designs.
By the end of the Hand Knitting for Beginners course at the University of the Arts London (UAL) you will have completed a technical reference of all stitches learned, as well as having developed a portfolio of experimental swatches and understanding your own creative handwriting.
