  • The summer school programme is open to undergraduate students and recent graduates of a biology-related degree.
  • Students are expected to have passed at least 1 degree-level biology module, and international students are required to have an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing).
  • Students without an IELTS score of 6.5 are welcome to attend the summers school and can take part in the examination, however they will not receive the module credits.

Funding

  • This year St George’s is offering scholarships to two outstanding summer school applicants. The scholarships will be awarded to one UK-domiciled student and one non-UK domiciled student.
  • Each scholarship covers the full value of the course tuition fee.
  • All scholarship applications need to be accompanied by the formal summer school application form, which can be found here, and must receive a successful offer of acceptance from the Course Lead, onto the programme.
  • Scholarship candidates will be shortlisted based on their scholarship statement, interview, and strength of the application. Interviews will be conducted after the scholarship deadline.
