Overview
Historically innovation was considered an episodic event. In today’s fast-paced global context organisations need to drive this practice constantly. This imperative applies equally to all sport organisations — including tradition-driven governing bodies — if they want to maintain their relevance in today’s society.
The first part of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship in Sport course at AISTS (International Academy of Sport Science and Technology) will focus on conveying the key concepts behind innovation and design (of products, of offerings and of business models). Participants will get their hands on tools and canvases aimed at making you proficient at assessing your environment, iterating on designs and ideas, and evaluating business viability and sustainability.
The second part of the programme aims to ground these concepts in practice. Entrepreneurs will equip you with knowledge and skills to tell your story, approach the first phases of development or go for funding. With the outcome of the course potentially allowing you to take your projects to an actual incubator.
