Overview
The Testing of IT-systems course at Luleå University of Technology focuses on how a testing activity should be planned, implemented and documented.
What you will learn
As an introduction, areas such as: what a test is and why it is important to test IT systems, general guidelines and methods for testing. The course also covers different test phases and different types of tests.
After this introduction to the field, the course delves into test design and test cases. The course focuses on the process of planning and executing tests and on making recommendations to address the identified weaknesses.

At the end of the course you will be able to:- Describe and exemplify the different parts of the testing process
- Use and choose among different techniques for designing test cases
- Describe the roles, competencies and responsibilities associated with different test phases
- Identify and document priorities and risks
- Conduct tests
- Document the different phases of the test process and its results (test plan, test case and test report)
