Key facts
The objective of Malmö University's Children's Rights course is for students to acquire knowledge about the U.N. Convention of Children's Rights, its origin and interpretations, and by so doing deepen and develop their understanding of the child's perspective and the child's best. The course consists of lectures and seminars where students and teachers discuss literature on children’s rights in relation to, for example, climate change, voting rights, post-colonialism and feminism.
Programme Structure
- The aim of the course is to enable the student to explore and analyze childhood and children’s agency from philosophical and political perspectives, as well as on a local and global level.
