What you will study
The Essentials of Financial Planning course offered by Singapore University of Social Sciences will allow attendees the opportunity and skills to evaluate their financial needs at a basic to intermediate level and intelligently work with their personal financial advisers to implement better structured personal financial plans.
Learning Outcomes:
A. Knowledge and Understanding (Theory Component)
- Compare various types of insurances and how they can be applied.
- Explain why it is important to start planning for retirement early in life.
- Outline how an investment plan can be developed.
B. Key Skills (Practical Component)
- Construct basic financial statements - Cashflow statements, Net Worth Statements and Budgets
- Apply basic calculation skills to determine financial needs.
- Choose the correct type of insurance plans for participant’s needs.
