The field of photography has undergone major advancements since its birth in the 19th century and continues to evolve even today. At present, digital photography is widely used as one of the most prominent forms of photography.
Alongside personal interest, having skills in digital photography can prove to be a plus point in the current competitive job market. Careers such as Marketing, PR, Social Media, and Journalism usually need and appreciate some know-how in digital photography.
The Professional Photography Training course offered by Canadian University of Dubai prepares the candidate for an advanced level of camera lighting and artistic compositions, giving meaning to your photographs, the candidates will experience different type of photography such as setups in product, food, fashion, portraits, landscapes, events and more.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- Digital photography.
- Nomenclature of DSLR & Mirrorless cameras.
- The Exposure Triangle: shutter speed, aperture, ISO.
- Camera lens types, features and purpose.
- Composition and framing.
- An understanding of the technical functions of a camera and the ability to operate it.
- A better understanding of camera use through practical exercises.
- Camera white balance and temperature.
- Exposure composition and Automatic Exposure Bracketing (AEB).
- Light metering.
- Different types of photography (portrait, journalistic, corporate, landscape etc.).
- Practicing photography types such as portrait, food, fashion, events and so on.
- Working with External lighting (speed light, ice light, LED still light, soft box, ring light etc.).
- Creating Portfolio.
