What you will study
The Composite Optimization using Altair Simulation Packages course offered by University Teknologi PETRONAS is a theoretical and practical course that covers all design steps for systems manufactured with composite materials using an automated optimization technique developed inside HyperWorks. The content on finite element modeling includes composite pre-procesing, material types, materials and element orientation, types of laminates in Hypermesh and various composite modeling methods and optimization techniques. In addition, composite post-processing is explained.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Build composite structures (pre-processing) using Altair HyperMesh
- Conduct analysis on composite structures using Altair OptiStruct
- Employ different composite optimization techniques4. Visualize results (post-processing) using Altair HyperView
