What you will learn

At the end of the Intermediate Surgical Skills workshop offered by Gulf Medical University, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate local anesthesia techniques respecting local soft tissue anatomy and physiology of healing
  • Demonstrate effective technique of advanced surgical suturing including bowel anastomosis
  • Demonstrate techniques of hemostasis
  • Assess various soft tissue injuries and implement appropriate primary surgical management of infected and contaminated wounds.
