Key facts
University of Amsterdam's offers two Intensive Dutch for Foreigners courses: you can either start at Absolute beginners level (0-A1) or at Beginners level (A1-A2). All course activities are founded upon various tasks. These tasks are functional, and directly linked to a concrete situation, such as ‘having conversations with people on the street’ or ‘writing a job application’. By using multi-media, the teacher provides learners with opportunities to develop the four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
