What you will study
The Annual Current Concepts in Surgical Pathology course offered by Harvard University is designed to update both academic and community pathologists with new advances in surgical pathology. It also aims to provide aids in diagnosis based upon conventional morphologic analysis and discuss contemporary applications of immunohistochemical and molecular studies in diagnostic pathology. This five-day virtual course features didactic lectures, case presentations and opportunity for interaction with faculty in question-and-answer periods in each lecture.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- Appropriately apply criteria for pathologic diagnoses in multiple areas of surgical pathology.
- Recognize unusual entities, including those newly described.
- Evaluate the decision-making process used to arrive at specific diagnoses.
- Utilize contemporary tumor classification systems.
- Apply immunohistochemistry and/or molecular studies judiciously to establish or confirm diagnoses.
