What you will study
Clinical teams in community hospitals face unique challenges responding to pediatric emergencies. Most critically ill children present to general hospital emergency departments, where low pediatric volumes, few pediatric trained clinicians, and limited pediatric resources often create barriers to the rapid escalation of care and definitive treatment. This Pediatric First Action Simulation Training course offered by Johns Hopkins University will discuss this subject.

- Effectively perform key psychomotor resuscitation skills.
- Apply principles of interprofessional code communication for high performance teams.
- Use Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithms to manage emergent events.
