Overview
Key facts
Implants are increasingly becoming an everyday part of a hygienist and therapist's work. Whether you work in a practice that places implants or 'inherit' them from elsewhere, this course will:
- equip you with the skills needed to confidently care for implants and the surrounding tissues
- help you to put in place the protocols needed for peri-implant assessment and maintenance
It will also seek to clarify some of the current thinking and theories relating to the care and maintenance of implants, and attempt to answer the eternal question 'Do I probe it?'
You'll gain 6.5 hours of verifiable CPD (continuing professional development).
University College London (UCL) offers the Implant Maintenance for Dental Hygienists and Therapists programme.
