What you will study
Through this Sleep Devices course offered by The University of Western Australia you will gain an understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis and successful treatment of obstructive sleep related breathing disorders with dental devices. The innovative curriculum incorporates a business module which segues theoretical knowledge into building a successful dental sleep medicine practice.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- To evaluate patients at risk of obstructive sleep related disordered breathing, recognising the signs and symptoms of snoring and obstructive sleep apoea
- To recognise and diagnose the dental conditions related to obstructive sleep related breathing disorders
- To formulate treatment plans and select suitable oral appliances for treating obstructive sleep related breathing disorders
