Overview
What you will study
This Global Perspectives on Children's Participation course offered by The University of Lancashire aims to develop in students a critical appreciative awareness of children and young people’s lives and their participation. It engages students in exploring the role of international and national policies, agencies and practices in shaping childhood and child participation.
By comparing and contrasting the experiences of children internationally it questions the extent to which understandings of child participation are universal and it provides the opportunity to learn from international examples of excellence.
The module encourages students to consider the implications of global perspectives on children’s participation for developing their own practice.
