This Mentoring programme offered by University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is underpinned by a critical analysis of effective mentoring partnerships and how it is applied in diverse, changing and challenging settings.

On successful completion of this module a student will be able to:

  • Understand good practice in mentoring and evaluate the major processes and principals involved in mentoring.
  • Explain the wider ethical implications of mentoring and debate them in relation to more general ethical perspectives.
  • Reflect on experience and evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses as a mentor.
  • Plan and undertake a period of supervised mentoring
