What you will study
The Patient Monitoring course offered by University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) will examine the impact of digital technology on improving patient monitoring, including self-care, patient/clinician communications, diagnostics and move care closer to home and away from the hospital.
You’ll be joining the course at a time of fast-paced change in the NHS and digital healthcare developments. You’ll learn from a course team with a wealth of experience, knowledge, networks and, above all, passion.

- The evolution of patient monitoring technologies.
- Short-term, rapid diagnostics.
- Longer term monitoring of long-term conditions/ early intervention to reduce demand on acute services.
- Using improved patient monitoring technology to improve patient/ clinician communications and reduce the burden placed on the health care system.
