Overview
The Lifelong Learning For Professionals Certificate from The Colleges of Law courses allow students with legal expertise—whether from work experience or a J.D. degree—to focus on specific areas of study, such as business operations and technology, and apply that focus to the field of law.
Each semester, the program will offer innovative and practical courses designed to anticipate and respond to the changing career development needs within the legal profession.
After completing at least four courses of the program, students earn the Lifelong Learning professional certificate, equipping them with the relevant skills they’ll need to open doors to future opportunities.
Career opportunities:
The Lifelong Learning program provides opportunities for working professionals to enhance their legal skills with individual courses that can be stacked to earn a professional certificate in only eight months.

General requirements
Completed a minimum of an associate’s degree and have experience working in a legal field OR a Bachelor’s degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
With some exceptions, most lawyers who practice in the state of California are required to complete 25 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) programming every year.
The Colleges of Law offers MCLE courses through the Lifelong Learner program. Taught by working legal professionals, MCLE courses at The Colleges of Law examine emerging areas and topics of the legal industry.
