Key facts
London School of Economics and Political Science's English for Business three week-programme is designed to improve your confidence in speaking, reading, writing and listening in a business context. The focus will be on the language you need for business activities, and will provide a British perspective for creative discussion.
There is also a topic and theme-based syllabus delivered by LSE academic staff and external business practitioners.The timetable's emphasis on collaborative projects and tasks will enable an improvement of key integrated language skills. Regular practice in class will further extend your capabilities in the way you actually use and manipulate business English.Programme Structure
- The structure of the course will be a mixture of lectures and classes. There will be an emphasis on projects and tasks, as well as regular practice of the material.
- The course is structured to reflect the early stage business cycle from business idea to launching your product in the market. There is both a language focus and a topic focus in this respect.
- The assessment will consist of a group presentation and individual business plan (worth 40% of the mark together), a mid-term exam (worth 10% of the mark) and a final exam (worth 50% of the mark).
