What you will study
On this Airworthiness course offered by City, University of London you will explore the basis for manufacturers, local authorities, aircraft owners, aircraft operators, and aircraft maintenance organisations to achieve initial airworthiness and how the continuing airworthiness is maintained.
Each stakeholder must fulfil a specific role to maintain an acceptable level of safety for customers and operators. You will be able to understand the influence you have in your specific function in the aviation system. This will allow you to influence the safety in aviation positively.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- Define and discuss the roles and responsibilities of the regulators, manufacturers, owners, operators, and maintenance organizations concerning airworthiness
- Define how an aircraft is deemed airworthy and how it is kept in airworthiness condition
- Define how continuing airworthiness is achieved
- Define how an aircraft receives a Certificate of Airworthiness.
