Overview

Learning and teaching
- Study mode: Synchronous online delivery via virtual classroom using one of the following web-based learning and teaching platforms (e.g. MS teams, Kaltura NewRow, Adobe Connect, Zoom). The content on the day will be delivered via a mixture of online classroom, PowerPoint presentation, working in small group and role play exercise followed by discussion, group feedback and recap/quiz.

- Learn how to work with coaching agreements, set goals using the GROW model and evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching intervention/or at the end of set sessions
- Learn what constates a quality coaching conversation within ethical principles underpinning the professional practice of coaching
- Learn when and how to use coaching as an intervention in your practice and gain awareness of when to signpost service users/clients for whom coaching might not be the best intervention.
- Conduct a coaching session using scenarios from practice with tutor and peer feedback and learn how to evaluate coaching interventions.
