This  Human-Centric ICT for Industry 5.0 Certificate from University of Pisa Summer School will provide an analysis of both the state of the art and frontier research in the field of ICT technologies for Industry 5.0, such as Artificial Intelligence, Embodied Intelligence, Human-Centric Systems, Smart Material Devices, and Future Networks.

Key facts:

The Summe School is part of the advanced training activities within the 'FoReLab' Excellence Project at Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione (DII). It is designed for master's and doctoral students, early-career researchers, and professionals from both academic and industrial backgrounds. The course will award 6 ECTS credits (48 hours of classroom lectures) upon successful completion of the program and passing of the final examination.

Lectures will be conducted in English at the Meeting Room of DII, located in Via G. Caruso, 16, Pisa, Italy.

Programme Structure

  • Research, industry, and public administration sectors are all covered in the Summer School program. The Summer School offers lessons from both industry experts and the academic community, focusing on the technologies that drive Industry 5.0. 

  • The goal of the Summer School is to provide participants with the opportunity to understand the prerequisites, facilitators, and potential of Industry 5.0 with an eye on future developments. 

  • Prior knowledge of specific technologies is not necessary, and the objective is to provide attendees with a strong foundation in these technologies, including their current challenges and significant advantages.
