Course content
  • The number of women experiencing mental ill health has increased, with young women more likely to experience mental distress than their male peers.
  • Study mode: Synchronous delivery online via virtual classroom (e.g. MS teams, Kaltura new row, Adobe Connect, Zoom).  The content on the day will be delivered via a mixture of PowerPoint presentation, small group exercise and discussion, group feedback and recap/quiz.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
  • Identify the diagnoses and health concerns women are statistically most likely to present with.
  • Outline the physical and social variables that can impact women’s physical and mental well-being.
  • Describe how you can begin to work in a Trauma-Informed way.
  • Plan how to improve your practice so that you can offer compassionate and informed care.
