- In the Supporting Women’s Wellbeing course offered at Middlesex University we explore some of the health issues most experienced by women and offer frontline health and social care staff the opportunity to improve their confidence and skills in offering effective and compassionate care.
- The number of women experiencing mental ill health has increased, with young women more likely to experience mental distress than their male peers.
- Study mode: Synchronous delivery online via virtual classroom (e.g. MS teams, Kaltura new row, Adobe Connect, Zoom). The content on the day will be delivered via a mixture of PowerPoint presentation, small group exercise and discussion, group feedback and recap/quiz.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:- Identify the diagnoses and health concerns women are statistically most likely to present with.
- Outline the physical and social variables that can impact women’s physical and mental well-being.
- Describe how you can begin to work in a Trauma-Informed way.
- Plan how to improve your practice so that you can offer compassionate and informed care.
