The wine world is ever changing. Economic and climate changes mean that there are many wines from newly exporting countries appearing in our shops. If you have been apprehensive about trying them you may be missing out on some unexplored treasures. University of Strathclyde offers the Out of the Vin Ordinaire programme.

Key facts

Just look over the border at the quality that English winemakers are now achieving. Examine wines produced out-with mainstream wine producing countries. A selection of six wines will be sampled each evening from countries that are sometimes tucked away on our supermarket shelves at University of Strathclyde's Out of the Vin Ordinaire.

Programme Structure

We will also consider the origin and history of winemaking in these countries and the effect that climate has on wine production in each country. Wines selected will be a mixture of indigenous and international grape varieties.
