What you will study
The Introduction to Drone Videography course offered by Concordia University Montréal will help you learn foundational themes like shot height, speed, distance and gimbal, and the narrative potential they have.
Basic camera techniques will focus on light, composition, movement, depth, and suspense. And finally, you’ll have the chance to apply all that knowledge and skill as you learn how to film landscapes, architecture, and people.

- Understand safety, ethical and legal aspects of operating drones;
- Safely operate drones (under 249 grams) for audiovisual content acquisition;
- Understand the role of storytelling in drone videography;
- Apply basic techniques in drone videography to produce quality audiovisual content that has impact;
- Build marketable, professional drone videography skills.
