Overview
Learners will be able to support someone during the end of life period as well as support family and friends after a loved one has passed. Learners will be able to empower, and educate those experiencing loss while supporting them through the decision making process.
Learning outcomes End-of-Life Doula program at Laurentian University
At the end of the program, learners will be able to:
- describe the role and responsibilities of the End of Life Doula;
- demonstrate effective communication skills and etiquette;
- understand the complexities of grief;
- understand ethical and legal issues relating to end of life care including funeral practices.
