When we look at truly extraordinary communicators who inspire and make a difference, we see that they do this by connecting with people at a personal and emotional level. How do they do this so well? What can workplace leaders learn from what they do?
Most now acknowledge that emotional intelligence is an essential component of effective leadership. However, modern communication is also changing dramatically with virtual workers and virtual teams now far more commonplace. The Personal and Virtual Communication course offered by Lethbridge Polytechnic will help you take stock of these changes and work to deepen and diversify our personal and virtual communication skills.

- Define self-leadership and what it means on an individual level
- Understand emotional intelligence and its impact on communication
- Recognize how our emotional health and physical health are related
- Interact more effectively in face-to-face and virtual environments
