What you will learn
The Basic Mig Welding and Tig Welding course offered by Lethbridge College will help you learn the practical and theoretical, fundamentals and procedures. In this course we will explore both methods of welding along with joint preparation, different thickness gauges on metal and plate, types and sizes of filler metal, shielding gases, and more.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- know the techniques required for MIG and TIG welding.
- understand when one method is more appropriate than the other.
- have increase your skills at metal edge preparation.
- TIG weld with aluminum and stainless steel.
- understand Flux Core welding.
