Key facts:

  • As production increases, there will be increased demand for skilled-workers who are trained to work on set. This is particularly true for roles including grips, gaffers and other supports that are critical for a production's success. This micro-credential is aimed at training this critical work force and positioning them for future success in the growing industry
  • Centennial College 's " Grip and Lighting " micro-credential provides specialized training for those looking to upgrade their skills to work on film and television sets in the department responsible for production equipment, with a focus on equipment related to cameras and lighting.

  • This Micro-Credential is being developed as part of a suite of micro-credentials designed to provide upskilling in the film and television industry in collaboration with Seneca College and Fanshawe College.
