Overview
What you will study
The BIM and Big Data course of Bond University will introduce you to concepts including photogrammetry and laser scanning, and will provide you with experience in using modern software to convert multiple photographs (sometimes captured using drones) into a realistic 3D model.
As openBIM technologies are increasingly being used as the technical standard for designing and documenting major building and infrastructure projects, local authorities can be expected to more enthusiastically adopt GIS technologies to build digital twins of their cities. Professionals with an understanding of the technologies to produce these digital twins will increasingly be in demand.
